Inspiring Films

Silence of the Lambs
One of the most famous, fictional, serial killers, Hannibal Lecture, is someone I would find to be an interesting place to begin. He seems to be on the border line of being completely insane to be a man who can outsmart any standard test making his illness impossible to identify. In this film it shows how graceful and well spoken he seems to be until we find out his true and dark nature.  It goes to show "you can't trust a book by its cover".

Hide and Seek
This is different from silence of the lambs as it shows how a horrible trauma can have an effect on the mind. So this explore Multiple Personality Disorder which means the person effect usually don't have any memory of what happens when that other person comes out. The other person can be violent, sexual, childish etc.

Shutter Island
psychological thriller which actually takes place on an island where the criminally insane are placed in a hospital away from the rest of society. This explores Schizophrenia meaning that that person sees and hears things that aren't there. Also showed within this film , schizophrenia can be brought on by trauma which could mean the person wanted an escape from this trauma and therefore created this whole other world.
